Maccabiah Football & Futsal Trials
As the end of the league season approaches for most teams, thoughts now turn towards the Maccabiah trials for the Team GB Football and Futsal squads which will travel to Israel in July 2009 for the Games.
Maccabi GB are sending their biggest ever football delegation to the Maccabiah Game and are particularly delighted to be sending a ladies team for the first time. In addition, the Super Masters (Over 45s) competition is the inaugural one at the Maccabiah and Team GB will also be competing in that tournament.
All the senior teams (Mens Open, Ladies Open, Over 35 Masters and Over 45 Masters) are commencing their trial process on Sunday May 18th in London.
Trials for Youths (under 18) and Juniors (under 16) start a week earlier in Manchester, with the southern under 16 trials also being held in London on 18 May. The southern under 18 trials will be held on the 15 June in London.
For those that cant attend the first trials there will be other trial dates for all squads through the summer.
As well as football there are four futsal squads: Mens Open, Masters (+35), Youths (U18) and Juniors (U16). Those trials will also be held throughout the summer.
