Trailing 2-0 from Saturday's opening rubbers, the pair had to win Sunday's doubles match in Coquimbo - and they did just that, defeating Paul Capdeville and Jorge Aguilar in just over three hours - 6-7, 7-6, 2-6, 6-1, 6-0.
Ram added: "Dudi is our magician, we are here in a great way because of him. I am going to stay tomorrow to support and cheer him.
Monday's first match sees Sela take on Gonzalez, and if he cna win that, the tie will be decided by Harel Levy's match against Nicolas Massu.
The tie will be concluded on Monday after the start was postponed for 24 hours due to last week's earthquake.
