Israel Claim Romanian Win
Israeli football finally had something to celebrate on Wednesday night after they beat Romania 2-0 in a friendly match in Timisoara.
Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun opened the scoring in first half stoppage time, before Elyaniv Barda's 86th minute penalty - at the second time of asking - wrapped up the win.
Without a manager and a World Cup to look forward to, U19 coach Eli Ohana took charge of the team, with the game serving as early preparation for their 2012 European Campaign which begins in September.
