Gary Phillips is a Trustee of UJIA, Maccabi GB's principal sponsors, and has also served on the Maccabi Foundation Board for a number of years. Gary plays and enjoys tennis and golf and comes from a long line of community leaders steeped in Maccabi history. Gary is the son of Michael and has been a trustee on a number of Maccabi associated and affiliated boards. A qualified solicitor for over 25 years, he's continued the family tradition of helping and shaping Anglo Jewry.
Speaking about the appointments, Greenberg said: "2009 has been extremely positive for Maccabi GB as over 20,000 members of the community will have been engaged in our programmes and events. We also have a busy calendar of events planned for 2010 that includes the Community Sports Awards, Fourth Community Fun Run and JCC Maccabi Games.
"The appointment of these three new directors will strengthen the organisation and with their different attributes the future of Maccabi GB, and therefore our community, looks to be in great hands."
