Quiz Nick Clegg

by Justin Cohen - Thursday 5th March 2009

Community members were this week urged to apply for one of the few remaining places in the audience for a question and answer session with Nick Clegg.

The Liberal Democrat leader will answer questions on a range of topics of concern to the community and the country as a whole when he takes part in the Jewish News-hosted event, chaired by Board of Deputies President Henry Grunwald.

Editor Zeddy Lawrence said: "It's not often that people have a chance to question the leader of a major political party face to face. And given the oft-expressed communal concerns over the pronouncements of certain Lib Dem politicians, this is an ideal opportunity to take them up with the man at the top."

He added: "Since publishing details of this special event in last week's paper, we have been delighted with the level of interest. However, there are still a few spaces available for what promises to be a fascinating evening and we urge all those who haven't yet applied to do so."

The event will take place at the Local Government Association House, Smith Square, Westminster, SW1P 3HZ at 6.30pm (for a 7pm start) on 16 March.
