According to the Community Security Trust, which helped arrange the visit, this will be the first time so many local officers have been involved in such a trip.
Inspector Nick Davies, from Barnet’s safer neighbourhoods team, said: “I can’t honestly say that I’m looking forward to the visit in that respect, but I think it is an important visit as far as Barnet officers are concerned because we have so many residents in this borough who have been affected by the Holocaust.
“All those attending will play a part afterwards in using the experience in their work.”
CST director of communications Mark Gardner said: “Anti-semitism, racism and xenophobia did not end at Auschwitz. Every one of us has a responsibility to learn the lessons of the Holocaust.”
