Fried Fish Balls (makes 18-20)

Bet you never knew Coffee Mate - that service station staple - was behind this timeless Jewish delicacy!

3 lbs. chopped minced fish (mixed)
1 lb. grated onions
6 oz. coarse breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons of Coffee Mate
2 tablespoons boiling water
cup cold water
3 eggs
Salt and pepper
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Sugar to taste

Soak the breadcrumbs in Coffee Mate dissolved in boiling water and the added quarter cup of cold water.

Add the beaten eggs, onions, salt, pepper, sugar and seasoning. Gradually add in the chopped fish and mix well until blended.

Dampen hands and form into balls for deep-frying.
