Voice Of Jewish Sport
JUST AS it seemed as if things were finally falling in Chelseas favour, their controversial Asian tour planned for this summer has once more come under the spotlight after Muslim groups urged the Malaysian government to stop Chelsea manager Avram Grant and player Tal Ben Haim from entering the country in July.
Last weekend saw the Malaysian Home Minister decide to allow the pair in on the grounds that it was for a sporting event. However, 21 different groups have now come forward and said they want the decision reversed, have sent a petition to the Minister, and have said that if the Israelis are permitted to enter the country, the tour could face protests.Chelsea keep on stating howtheyre vehemently against all forms of racism, why then not show it by telling the Select Malaysian XI side what they can do with their pre-season friendly match in Kuala Lumpar? Its not as if they need the money under their Jewish billionaire!
CONGRATULATIONS are in order to Guy Caminsky, who won the 2008 World Tenpin Masters at the Barnsley Metrodome last week.
Guy represented South Africa at the 1993 and 1997 Maccabiah Games, and holds the Maccabiah record for highest score (300 a perfect game) and highest series. Hes helped himself to several medals at the Games, with his latest success earning him a cool 30,000.
