Wingate took the lead in the very first minute through new signing Peter Eduae. Following a neat one-two with Marvin Samuel, Eduae scored comfortably.

Chris Chase almost doubled the lead for the visitors a few minutes later when he headed just over from Eduae's cross.

In a fairly open early exchange, in the 17th minute, Team GB equalised through Mitch Hahn. Hahn dribbled into space and with Wingate's defence holding off, he slotted the ball low to the right of the outstretched keeper.

Hahn later dribbled into some space in the 37th minute but this time shot over the bar.

Another new signing for Wingate, Michael Lenahan, shot just wide of the post following a corner-kick for the visitors in the 43rd minute.

GB re-took the lead shortly after the second-half started, through David Laird and extended their lead to 3-1 two minutes later through Liam Harrington, who lobbed the opposing goalkeeper emphatically.

GB looked to hit back but both Sam Sloma (55th minute) and John Kurrent (65th minute) shot wide from long-range.

Wingate's Mark Weatherstone's left-footed shot skimmed past the post in the 66th minute.

Wingate pulled a goal back through Mitch Hahn in the 68th minute and Hahn should have scored in the 70th minute with an open goal to aim at when the Wingate keeper attempted to block a shot and the ball fell to Hahn. In the 80th minute, Hahn was just wide when trying to convert Matthew Stock's low cross for Maccabi.

GB equalised in the 88th minute through Sam Sloma and had a golden opportunity to win the game, but with an open goal to aim at in the 90th minute, Daniel Berg somehow missed the goal and the game was decided on penalties.

Penalties:
Wingate and Finchley FC - Ahmet Rifat (scored) / Leon Smith (missed) / Dean Williams (scored) / David Norman (missed)
Team GB - Mitch Hahn (scored) / Daniel Berg (scored) / Sam Sloma (scored) / Michael Sacks (scored)
