Brady A and EDRS Stonegrove booked their place in the final of the Masters League Cup, while Lions B secured the division two title with a win over Pel.

Henry Swerner Maccabi Masters Football League Cup
In the semi-finals of the Henry Swerner Maccabi Masters Cup, sponsored by Tux’n’Tails, holders EDRS edged out South Mancunians to make it to the final once again, with Mark Kingston scoring all five for EDRS. South Mancs’ scorers were Nick Roman (2) and Gavin Jacobs. Kingston scored the only goal of the 2007 final, as EDRS beat Glenthorne A against all the odds. PHOTOGALLERY

Glenthorne missed out again as they were beaten by current Division One leaders Brady A 4-2 in the other semi-final, with goals from Marc Herman (pen) and a hat-trick from Scott Ansher. Brady now have a league and cup double in their sights.

Lions B win Masters Division 2 Title:
Division Two
In the League, Lions B secured the Division Two title with a 4-2 win at Pel City. Despite a goal from Pel’s Gareth Ganley, and a 30-yard strike from Spencer Brookner, Lions won through with a hat-trick from Marc Morris and one from Stuart Coutts.

The Clayhall derby ended with honours even after a 2-2 draw, Ian Sumray and Brian Deal scored for the As, with Leon Pernikis and Eliot Mullish replying for the Bs.

And Brady C dented Temple Fortune’s hopes of a runners-up spot with a 4-3 win courtesy of goals from Bradley Freeman, Gary Field, Sammi Bazini and David ‘Tiggy’ Taylor. Allon Schick-Maier (2) and Steve Feiger scored for Fortune.
