Hendon Hawks A stand in good stead for the cup final next week after a 10-1 victory over Alyth Belsize.

Hendon Hawks opened the scoring with a brilliant effort from Akiva Restan which rattled the back of the net.

The game continued in that vein with Joel Gottlieb adding another a few minutes later after weaving his way through the Alyth defenders. Matti Karp scored a screamer with a superb half volley from outside the area which flew beyond the keeper and into the far corner. The Hawks ended the half on the front foot but it was not a convincing first half performance.

The second half however, saw the Hawks improve with better attacking movement and passing. Jonathan Korn extended the lead, with brilliant positioning on the left handside; he created the space needed to run onto the ball and lash the ball past the Alyth keeper for the Hawks fourth.

Jamie Rosen had a great second half on the right flank and got his name on the score sheet with a simple tap-in at the back post, poaching Jonathan Korn's cross into the top corner. David Amor netted a sixth for the Hawks after a brilliant ball down field by Rosen which beat the last defender, allowing Amor to latch onto the through ball and slot it past the on-coming Alyth keeper. Joel Gottlieb grabbed a brace courtesy of a cross from the right by Rosen. Akiva Restan was also on target for his second of the game with a superb strike.

Alyth grabbed a well earnt consolation goal with a counter attack causing defender Shmuli Miller to drop back and unfortunately deflect the ball past his own keeper, Oliver Gottlieb, who had a great half in goal.

Matti Karp secured a brace with a shot across goal which flew in at the far post. The last kick of the game was a penalty to Hendon Hawks after Joel Gottleib was fouled in the area. Jamie Rosen stepped up to take the kick and confidently tucked it away in the bottom left hand corner for the Hawks tenth.

The Hawks seem well prepared for next weeks cup final with this emphatic win.
