ZIG ZAG, NORSTAR, BRADY and BLIZZARD STORM all took part in this four-team tournament which consisted of two semi-finals played over 60 minutes.
The first semi proved to be a goalless draw between Zig Zag and Norstar, meaning it went to a penalty shoot-out which saw Zig Zag win 5-3 after Neal Cohen's side scored all their five spot-kicks. Aden Allensen saved one of Norstar's efforts, with Danny Millar scoring the vital kick.
The other semi proved to be a more comprehensive affair as Blizzard Storm beat Brady 3-1 thanks to goals from Alex Rubin, Alex Rubin and Dan Vandermolen.
The third-fourth place play-off went the way of Brady, who beat Norstar 4-2, while the final saw Blizzard Storm beat Zig Zag 2-1. Storm took the lead through their leading goalscorer from last season, Joel Kutner, only to see Zig Zag equalise through Ben Medal - even if Storm disputed whether it crossed the line, claiming the wind had blown the net through the front of the goal. However, Storm claimed the win as Kutner scored his second of the match with a late winner.
SOUTH MANX continued their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win over PEL. Richard Sax, Danny Goldman, Mark Rose and Ez Mordecai all finding the back of the net.
TEMPLE FORTUNE A took on division four newboys LOS BLANCOS and came away with a 3-1 win, earned thanks to goals from Rob Benson, Ben Isaacs and Scott Shindler.
However, TEMPLE FORTUNE B went down to a 3-2 defeat against UJIA, with Jeff Bathija and Roni Stone scored for them.
