Neasden joint-manager Jamie Cole told TJ: "Six points puts us right in the mix to retain our title for the third year in a row."

Lions manager Daniel Reuben told TJ: "Our boys were a credit to Lions and themselves. We may not have Neasden's guile, but we showed great spirit throughout.

"Credit to Neasden who scored early in both games - they undoubtedly have some very good players and deserved their victories."

OAKWOOD 2 NL RAIDERS A 3
The Raiders stay eight points clear at the top after goals from Rob Sanford, Jonny Blain and Andrew McMaster saw them to the points.

Anthony Kintish and Adam Levine hit back for the Os.

Raiders joint-manager Adam Fegan told TJ: "It was a terrific win for us. Recently we have discovered a great resilience that has enabled us to grind out results at the most important time of the season and against many of our title rivals. We are organised, disciplined and work exceptionally hard for one another, and this was evident in abundance on Sunday.

"We must pay great credit to Oakwood as well. They demonstrated their intent from the start and battled for every yard. In terms of football played it may not have been a classic, but in terms of excitement and commitment from both teams i don't think i have seen a better game this season. We wish Oakwood luck for the rest of the season, except for when they play us next.

"We now have one game left for the season. We are aiming to go out on a high and complete a season to remember. If we can win then all the teams below us simply have to keep winning to finish above us and can't afford any slip-ups."

The Raiders kept up their title charge with this win over Richard Slater's side, thanks to goals from Nicky Woolf, Jonny Hesselberg and Gilad Kestenbaum. Glenn Davis pulled one back with 15 minutes remaining.

Raiders manager Rob Richman told TJ: "It was a professional performance where we played some lovely football especially in the first half. Chigwell are a good side and as such I'm delighted we managed to get the three points today.

"Overall it really is so pleasing to see both Raiders teams doing so well this year."

HOLY MOUNT ZION 0 LONDON MACCABI LIONS C 7
Once again the Lions may have been without their manager and acting boss, but once again it didn't bother them as they went goal crazy against the beleagured Zionists.

Paul Stein helped himself to a hat-trick, Craig Henry chiped in with a couple, with Ian Hartstone and Nick Kenton completing the scoring.

Lions' Paul Buxton told TJ: "I'm delighted with all 11 of them, a great team performance."

TEMPLE FORTUNE 4 SOUTHGATE HARMEN B 1
Fortune kept alive their promotion hopes with this comprehensive win over Harmen, for whom Jonny Winton netted a consolation goal.

Fortune were sluggish at the start and having seen Harmen take the lead, Richard Cooper equalised on the half-hour mark. The game was then turned on its head when Rob Benson retrieved the ball in the corner, beat a couple of defenders before cutting inside and firing home – another superb goal from his impressive collection this season. Two became three thanks to Gideon Wetrin's bullet header from a corner.

Harmen dominated the second half but could not penetrate some excellent defending and Benson broke away to neatly chip his second – and Fortune's fourth – from approximately 15 yards.

Fortune manager Andy Souber said: "After our usual slow start and being a goal down, once we realised we could compete with them we caused them many problems.

"In the second half it was backs-against-the-wall and full credit to Harmen for the way they pinned us back. But we defended superbly and I cannot praise the players enough for digging in deep. An excellent win."

BLIZZARD STORM 4 PINNER 2
Two goals from Jordan Hurwitz, plus efforts from Michael Gaventa and Joel Kutner saw Storm to the win.

Manager Simon Linden told TJ: "It was a much needed win but we really did make it hard for ourselves. Our first half display was shocking.

"We woke up in the second half and took control of the game. Michael Gaventa was involved in a lot of our good play and Jordan Hurwitz, playing upfront took his goals very well."

Josh Landy and Jon Kay scored for Pinner.

REDBRIDGE C 1 GLENTHORNE UTD B 1
A point neither side would have wanted, but one both will have to settle for, Kane Hopps scored for the home side.

Redbridge player-manager Michael Winehouse told TJ: "It was a fair and even point. We missed the two big chances this week with some close-range headers going over, but our keeper made a stunning save from a hard low header as well so they weren't without chances.

"Although I was too far away to see it I'm told that we were denied a stone wall penalty when Sandford beat his man and was taken down in the area but I will hold judgement on that.

"The Glenthorne vs Norstar game is so important now. If Norstar win that they should go on to win it."

David Blackman scored for Glenthorne, with their manager David Blitz telling TJ: "Again we took the lead but couldn't add to it. We had a penalty turned down in the last five minutes, a goal line clearance and two shots hit the crossbar. They also had a penalty turned down but I feel it is four points lost rather than two gained."

TEAM JLGB 2 UJIA 5
