CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP FINAL:
HENDON UNITED A 2 NORTH WEST NEASDEN A 1
Hendon ensured they ended the season with silverware, while denying Neasden the treble with a hard-fought win at Hadley.

Benjy Wreschner's side were in dream land with just ten minutes on the clock as a low-angled drive from Ari Last, plus Paul Bentley's effort saw them march into a 2-0 lead.

Lee Cash had already struck the post for Neasden, before he halved the deficit just five minutes later in what was proving to be a whirlwind start.

Neasden felt it was only a matter of time before they drew back on level terms but as the half wore on so did their decrease in momentum.

The second half saw plenty of chances created for both sides. Hendon somehow hit the woodwork twice within the space of seconds, while at the other end, brave goalkeeping from Danny Berliner, plus some last-ditch blocks from Hendon's defence kept Neasden out, and allowed Hendon to gain revenge for their Peter Morrison cup defeat at the start of the month.
